AMD and Intel have one of the most interesting rivalries in the world of business. Since AMDs release of its Ryzen CPU series, Intel has been more motivated than ever to produce higher quality alternatives. If you wanted the best PC on the market 10 years ago, Intel would have been your only choice. But now we have some powerful contenders!
AMD VS INTEL
AMD and Intel’s latest line of processors were released sometime in 2021, with each of their products offering better than before attributes to turn your CPU into mini rocket engines.
Intel launched its brand new Intel Core i9 Alder Lake series of processors, which features 16 core processors for its i9-12900K and i9-12900KS models. Intel has surely stepped up its game by extending its offerings but AMD has refused to live in the shadows.
AMD launched its AMD Ryzen 9 Zen 3 architecture, in a battle to win the title of “The Ultimate Processor”. Although the cheaper Ryzen 9 CPUs feature 12 core processors, the Ryzen 9 5950x features 16-cores to compete with Intel’s Alder Lake series.
Which has better performance: Ryzen 9 Zen CPU or Intel i9 Arder Lake?
Only one can walk away with the title of best CPU for gaming. i9-12900K, being one of Intel’s high-end variants and having 16 cores is surely going to give AMD a run for its money.

CPU benchmark takes the average tests of multiple CPU cards and takes their overall specifications to give every CPU a benchmark. Although the Ryzen 5900X scored the lowest, its one model upgrade beats Intel’s counterparts by a small margin.
In terms of performance, we’re going to give it to AMDs Zen 3 Vermeer CPU. However, that doesn’t mean the i9 Arder Lake should be gone and forgotten. Intel’s Arder Lake does have features that AMDs equivalent is lacking.
Integrated Graphics
In this cut-throat competition for determining which is the best high-performance CPU for gaming, one must ponder over all the aspects these CPUs are offering. While AMD’s CPU performance is a marvel in itself, Intel is determined to create high quality products.
With respect to adding integrated graphic cards, Intel is the winner here. Equipped with Intel’s UHD 770 Graphics, Intel’s CPU’s are ready to start processing the second they’re booted.
Unfortunately, AMD’s processors don’t come with integrated graphics. However, pairing these CPUs with an appropriate graphics card will completely disregard that little detail.
OVERCLOCKING:
When it comes to overclocking, Intel Core i9s are unlocked, so one can easily overclock them as per their desire. Having enough headroom AMD Ryzen 9 also offers you the ability to overclock as it also has unlocked multipliers, with possible 5GHz overclock, AMD is coming at Intel with full force.
PRICING:
Both AMD and Intel release several models at the same time for various scenarios. Some of which depend on how much performance over price a gamer is willing to sacrifice. Here are the following prices for the latest Intel and AMD high-end CPUs:

Although these prices and features may seem a bit like overkill, games and other softwares are demanding more output from computers. Softwares such as Adobe or Autocad and games such as Cyberpunk 2077 demand high graphical output.
